After the Árpád Era
At the beginning of the 14th century, the monastery had an important role.
Between 1314-1344 the monastery earned additional estates such as Apátfalva, Csanád Selyke and Sorostély situated nearby the salt mine.
Later, when Charles Robert's reign solidified the abbey was given the estate of Farkastelke. Between 1314-1344 the monastery earned additional estates such as Apátfalva, Csanád Selyke and Sorostély situated nearby the salt mine. At that time Egres had its second golden era. This is evidenced by the fact that the abbey of Egres, as well as the abbey of Pilisi, had the right to vote in the Hungarian Synod
At the beginning of the 14th century, the monastery had an important role, for example, in 1309, the abbey of Egres supported Benedict from the dominican order in order to be elected as Transylvanian bishop.
At that time Egres had its second golden era.
